Last day in HK.

Woke up early to have dim sum with Uncle Albert.

(Please excuse overexposure)

Just packed up, rested a bit. Then went out to Harbor City for lunch with my uncle. Just had Cafe de Coral (mixed bbq meats + rice). After lunch, I grabbed a pair of black cargo pants there. Very light; I likey. Uncle Albert bought a pair of cotton pants: beige coloured. Afterwards, just headed back home and chilled for the rest of the day.

Went to Fung Sing for dinner with Uncle Albert and Uncle Fuu. Then just headed off to airport.

I'm gonna miss HK; wonderful family and friends here.

But yea, gotta really thank Uncle Albert for taking care of me for the past 1.5 weeks.

Can't wait to give everyone their stuff when i get back home to Van.

And of course, can't wait to see them.

1 week 3rd day

Look @ which store I visited again...

For Grandma back home in Van.

After got back home, I chilled out for a bit and then went out to Maxim's cafe for lunch with Uncle Albert. Then we ran some errands (visit bank, etc.) and headed home afterwards. While he was taking an afternoon nap, I went out bought some more gatsby and snacks.

At around 7, I went out to TST with Martin for lunch @ Fairwood (Tai Fai Wood) for just a quick meal.

We went back home to Hung Hom and then shopped around Jusco for some more gifts for my little cousins. I got some candies and some hair scrunchies for them.

Then we went to Wonderland (HK's mini Toys R Us) and I grabbed some more capsule toys. I love those things.

Went back and packed up half of my stuff (with Martin's help) in advance for leaving tomorrow. Did the brotherhood handshake and parted. I'll see ya homie in 2 months.

1 week day 2.

Woke up early to buy my mom's tote bag.

Does it look good on me? HAH

Then went to a local toy store. Spent a good 30 min in there and bought these for the cousins.

Hung around home for a bit; then went out to ParknShop to pick up some more hairspray and Gatsby. After I got back home, headed out to Prince Edward for dinner with Uncle Khong and Uncle Fuu. The fish was big.

1 week in.

Alright, so woke up, got dressed and stuff. Went to ParknShop to grab some gatsby gel and hair spray cuz I had a lunch appointment with a pretty girl. Then went out to TST for the lunch buffet with Martin and Hilary @ Yumm (Miramar hotel). The food quality was top notch but I did not like the lack of variety. The variety was pitiful compared to last time's buffet.

Then Martin and I explored and ended up using most of our time at Causeway Bay and TST. I met up with my Godmother (Aunt Yip) @ Wan Chai to give her some chocolates. I actually ended up buying her another pack of chocolates just incase the ones I brought from Canada were crushed from the flight. $250 HKD for that box.

Went back home to rest for a bit. Then headed out to pick up my glasses. Martin and I ended up playing those toy capsule machines for a couple of rounds. Then he went home and I went to Cafe de Coral for dinner. Just grabbed a rice with 2 different kinds of bbq meats + cold drink. Only $36 HKD. Afterwards, I went to grab Uncle Albert a bottle of wine for taking care of me for the past week; hope he likes it.

Also, I forgot to post up a gift that Aunt Yip gave my family last night.

6th day in HK

So woke up this morning and had dim sum with Uncle Albert. Then headed back home and hung out for a bit. Uncle Albert went out to China and I went for a snack with Martin (lunch in his case). We window shopped around the TST area and I finally ended up getting my jeans from Take 5 Jean shop. They were nice enough to put my jeans in a denim tote bag (cool).

Yes, that's right. Those are my jeans standing upright by themselves LOL. Good old jeans. Made in Japan ftw.

Also got Patty's jeans and a shoulder pack (easier and more compact to carry than my current Roots bag).

Martin ended up getting his ring from TST haha. Went out to dinner with Uncle Wor and his wife @ 6:30-ish. Had hot pot.

5th day

I got to sleep in today b/c Uncle Albert and I decided to go out for buffet @ a close-by hotel. It was $198 HKD per person. The food was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S compared to Canada's buffet standards and the choices blew me away too. There was fresh sashimi; the salmon was fatty and they even had red tuna. The tilipia fillets were good too (tai sashimi); way better than Richmond sushi's and Sui Sha Ya's. They had a Haagen Dazs counter for ice cream and a chocolate fountain. They also had a bbq station with various bbq'd meats, roast beef, and the other typical stuff you find @ classy buffets. Their salad bar wasn't too awesome though (River Rock casino's salad bar outdid them). The same applies for their roast beef; it didn't have any "beef" taste to it.

Heading out later to TST to shop around before having dinner with Uncle Khong @ 6:30.

Didn't buy anything and went to this ghetto lookin place for dinner but the food was good. Better than the buffet earlier haha.

4th day

Woke up early to have breakfast with my uncle and aunt (bew kow fu and his wife) in Sheung Wan. We had dim sum and yea, I eat curry squid for breakfast every morning now haha. Another good dish there was a steamed prawn ball with mushroom attached to the bottom. Didn't take pics : (

Afterwards, just ran some errands with my Uncle and headed home to rest up.

Then I went out to the Wangpao area and finally bought a pair of glasses for $1020 HKD. The frame is made in Japan :D

Afterwards, went to a nearby toy store and copped these for my bro:

Now I'm doing some online assessments for physics which are due soon. Then gonna head out later for dinner w/ Poon and look around for clothes and some ring he wants :S

After doing my hwk, went out to chill @ Martin's house for a bit to plan for the weekend. Then we went out for hotpot @ this place called Po Po.

The food was pretty good; again like last time, it's different from the food I usually eat. Afterwards, just headed home and played some Pokemon Yellow before going to sleep.

HK : 3rd day

Doing this rant today cuz I was too lazy/sleepy to type it up last night:

So woke up around 8:30 went for dim sum at Fung Sing (go here everyday for breakfast basically). Ordered the usual stuff, nothing new. Then went out to get my HK ID card done. Took about 1.5 hours to go through with the whole process. Then went back home and headed out to meet up with Poon.

He just woke up (around 2pm lol) and we went to some cafe. I had the baked pork chop rice. He just had some instant noodles.

Afterwards, we got lost trying to find how to get to Miramar shopping center. Took us about 1 hour to get there. We went in like 2 circles before finally finding it. I copped Alex's raw jeans (w/ da selvedge) @ uniqlo. Wasn't able to find Patty's jeans. They ran out of 31's.

Then we went to Mong Kok just browsing shoes and clothes. I didn't end up getting anything but Martin got 2 zipups @ Esprit. Spent around 2 hours in Mong Kok before going back home.

Yea so it took us around another 2 hours to get home cuz we couldn't find our shuttle bus lmao. Oh well. For dinner, we went to this taiwanese noodle place (forgot to take pics). It was good. Noodles were chewy and the beef was good. After that, I wanted to eat more food so we headed out to McD's; We got a Filet-O-Fish meal and a Grilled Chicken Sandwich (freaking got my wrong order as I wanted a crispy chicken but I was alright with the grilled sandwich too b/c I never tried it before). Then just went home, hung for a bit. He went home and I slept.
